Try these simple warm up exercises which will help ease the joints of the hands, wrists, feet and ankles by increasing lubrication within the joints, ligaments and tendons.
These particular areas are those that are most often affected by osteo and rheumatoid arthritis.
Hand Clenching: make your hand into a fist and hold for a couple of seconds. The stretch your fingers out wide and lengthen to the very tips. Repeat 10—20 times on each hand.
Wrist Bending: Stretch your hand out in front of you and then point your fingers up towards the ceiling as far as they can reach. Then point our fingers down towards the floor as far as possible. Again repeat 10—20 times on each hand.
Ankle Rotations: Roll the ankles 10—20 times on each side to increase flexibility.
Ankle Bending: Point your toes away and then flex your heel, drawing the ball of the foot in towards you.
